| About the Chorus The London Concert Chorus is a 80 - 120 strong, handpicked chorus who gather together once a year to perform in Raymond Gubbay's Christmas Spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall. The concert is conducted by Jonathan Cohen. with support from soloist Sophie Louise Dann and the 30-piece London Concert Orchestra. Most of the choir come from the local amateur operatic societies. There's a great chance to network and find out what shows are on and what singing opportunities are around. Many of the directors who sing in the choir like to use the event as an opportunity to find good singers, to join their own groups. Some of the choir are vocal students who enjoy the challenge of singing an hour and a half of vocally demanding tessitura, often finding that their voices strengthen considerably after doing this concert. |
